Today I took a real good look at my schedule. For some reason, I thought the letter TR meant just the day of Thursday. Then I realized it didn't mean just Thursday, it also means Tuesday. That means that I have four classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays that run from 8:00am until 8:20pm. A twelve-hour school day! I am so glad I had taken another look at my schedule, otherwise I wouldn't of shown up for English or my General Psychology class, which could of been real bad.
So since I noticed that I will be at Rhodes for basically twelve hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I really need to find my way around the school. I don't just want to sit there in some random spot inbetween classes. I need to find the library or something! Don't get me wrong, I love all my classes that I have been signed up for. I'm just a little stressed out that I won't get much sleep with all the homework I'll be getting. I guess that's college life for you!
I really like the English class I'm in, even if it's only been one day that I've been in it. This blog for an assignment is an awesome idea. My Psychology teacher is awesome and pretty funny so I think I'll enjoy that class. I am, though, kind of nervous for my First Year Experience class. I'm not quite sure what to expect and how many people will be in it, since it's being held in a trailer? I guess I'll find out tomorrow! Tomorow is also the first day for another class called Classroom Managment and Guidance, which is from 5:30 until 8:20. That is definitely my longest class of all of them! It'll definitely be a hectic day, but I can pull through it! College life so far is okay but not what I expected at all. I guess I will have to give it a little more time!
Hello Allison, this is the first time that I have checked out your blog and it looks really good. My shit is just plan it took me some time to get used to this so I didn’t dare try to do anything fancy. I want to let you know that your days sound a lot like mine. My Tuesdays and Thursdays are booked up too. I have five courses in all this semester and it being my first semester at all, well let’s just say it been fun. I never thought it would be like this at all. I’m not for sure what I thought but the homework is way worse than I thought. I also see that it is you who is responsible for what you learn. There are no professors that hold your hand and make sure you get it. Yes you can ask questions and look for help in other places but. For the most part they tell you what to learn and then it up to you if you do. I don’t know much about your life or how busy it might be but, I’m a mother of three kids and an older kid (husband) and believe me when I say they are all demanding. The hard part for me is trying to stay on top of my work and keep everything at home in order. It seems like it is getting better but I still have a long way to go before I get some kind of routine worked out between the two. Like you said that is the college life for you and like you I am bound to make come hell or high water. Thanks for the time and good luck in all you do.
